English Faith Formation for Adults

First Communion

In Catholic teaching, First Holy Communion is a vital Sacrament of Initiation where a child receives the Eucharist for the first time, believing that the bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Typically celebrated around the age of reason (second grade), this milestone requires prior religious education and the child's first confession in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It is considered a sacred moment that deeply unites the child to Christ and the Church community, serving as essential spiritual nourishment for their faith journey.

Sacrament of Confirmation

In the Catholic Church, Confirmation is a sacrament of Christian initiation in which young people—through the anointing with sacred chrism and the laying on of hands by the bishop—receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit that strengthens them to live their faith with maturity, bear witness to Christ, and actively commit to the ecclesial community (Catechism of the Catholic Church, nn. 1285, 1303).

REGISTRATION FOR 2026-2027

Registration for ENGLISH First Communion (starting 1st grade) and Confirmation (starting 7th grade) classes for kids 1st and 2nd years, will be held in rooms 3 and 4 (downstairs)

To complete your registration, please bring the child's Baptism certificate for First Communion and for Confirmation bring the Baptismal and First Communion Certificates. The registration fee is $80, which can be paid via credit card, debit card, or cash.
